Pablo is a researcher who is passionate about developing sustainable technological solutions that combat climate change and reduce energy costs. His research interests include control in power electronics, second-life battery energy storage systems, grid-forming converters, and multilevel converters and modulation. 

He received the B.Sc. degree with highest honours in electrical engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), Santiago, Chile, in 2019, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from PUC and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia, in 2024. From 2017 to 2024, he was a Member of the Power and Energy Conversion Laboratory, PUC. From 2024 to 2025, he was a Research Assistant and Casual Academic at UTS. Since September 2025, he has been with the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, where he currently holds an Associate Lecturer position.  

In addition to his academic contributions, Pablo founded Andes Electronics in 2020, a Chilean startup specialising in innovative energy storage solutions and power electronics technologies. Through Andes Electronics, Pablo has successfully developed patented technologies and has collaborated with major energy companies on critical projects involving battery energy storage reliability and electromobility.
