I have over 23 years of experience in Dietetics, encompassing management, education, research, clinical dietetics, community nutrition and food service. The majority of my career has been in clinical dietetics within a tertiary hospital setting, where I have gained practical experiences across a broad range of clinical areas, with a specialty in oncology and palliative care.
I completed my PhD at Western Sydney University, focusing on the development of a competency framework for allied health managers. In addition to my clinical and management roles, I have been actively involved in education and training of dietetics students and new graduates for many years, both university and hospital settings.
My research interest primarily lie in clinical dietetics, including areas such as diabetes, oncology and palliative care.
I will be mainly teaching clinical dietetics, preparing students for their clinical placements. As an education-focused lecturer, my goal is to develop a curriculum that not only imparts knowledge but also fosters students' clinical reasoning skills.
