Biography

I’m the Clinical Education Lead in Physiotherapy at the University of New South Wales. I have extensive experience in aged care, rehabilitation, and clinical education, and have contributed to curriculum development and student supervision across several institutions. I’m the Clinical Education Lead in Physiotherapy at the University of New South Wales. I have extensive experience in aged care, rehabilitation, and clinical education, and have contributed to curriculum development and student supervision across several institutions. I’ve supervised over 200 physiotherapy students on clinical placements, particularly in stroke, aged care, and general rehabilitation settings.

At UNSW, I coordinate Work Integrated Learning (WIL) courses and oversee physiotherapy clinical placements, working closely with placement partners and accreditation bodies to ensure high-quality, standards-aligned learning experiences. My teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking and practical skills to equip students for the challenges they face when entering the workforce.


My Qualifications

Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) - University of Sydney

Completed the Foundations of University Learning and Teaching (FULT) program in 2023, with a capstone project focused on designing a scalable, student-centred placement framework.


My Awards

My Teaching

I have extensive experience in physiotherapy education across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. My teaching spans neurological rehabilitation, aged care, and clinical education, with a strong focus on preparing students for safe, confident clinical practice.

  • Practical lab teaching and skills assessment for EXPT3175: Neurological Clinical Practice
  • Course design and coordination support for EXPT4150: Advanced Neurological Physiotherapy, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards
     

Western Sydney University – 2023 to 2025

  • Subject Coordinator for REHA3017 and REHA3018: Neurological Physiotherapy/Neurological Rehabilitation and REHA4001: Rehabilitation Clinical Placement
  • Led curriculum redesign teaching and assessment content (receiving the School of Health Science Teaching Excellence Award in 2025)
  • Delivered lectures, tutorials, practical classes and assessments for first, second and third year Physiotherapy subjects
