Dr. Patricia M. Davidson, RN PhD, FAAN, has served as Vice Chancellor and President of the University of Wollongong and Dean of the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Her work focuses on person-centered care delivery and improving the lives of people living with chronic and complex conditions. She is particularly focused on how social determinants of health influence health outcomes and is internationally recognised as a leader in nursing, health, and medical science.
A key feature of her career has been to develop innovative and acceptable models of interventions targeting at risk populations.

I have been successful in receiving funding as a principal investigator, including from the National Institutes of Health, the National Health & Medical Research Council (Australia), and the Australian Research Council. I have served as the Co- Director of the Enrichment Core for the National Institute of Nursing Research P30 Promoting Resilience in Persons with Multiple Chronic Conditions Promote Center (PI Szanton) and was also an advisor to the NINR Funded Palliative Care Research Collaborative (PI Kutner) and on the board of the influential Cambia Scholars Sojourns Leadership Program to advance palliative care.
