Biography
Emile Carreau is a Lecturer in the School of Law, Society and Criminology in the Faculty of Law & Justice at UNSW. He is an Australian criminal lawyer with extensive experience teaching criminal law and criminology.

Emile Carreau is a Lecturer in the School of Law, Society and Criminology in the Faculty of Law & Justice at UNSW. He is an Australian criminal lawyer with extensive experience teaching criminal law and criminology.
Before moving into academia, Emile worked on a major criminal resentencing project in Malawi, where he collaborated with local and international lawyers to successfully resentence over 150 prisoners who had received unconstitutional mandatory death sentences. This project won a Global Justice Challenge award at the World Justice Forum in 2019.
