Dr Sarah Clifford is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Drug Policy Modelling Program at UNSW. Sarah’s work focuses on the relationship between alcohol use and harms, and how policies can impact these outcomes. She has a background in health promotion. Sarah’s work focuses on the relationship between alcohol use and harms, and how policies can impact these outcomes. She has a background in health promotion. She was awarded her PhD in 2024, which examined the impact of the 2017-18 Northern Territory alcohol reforms – specifically the Banned Drinker Register, Minimum Unit Price, and Police Auxiliary Liquor Inspectors - on domestic, family, and sexual violence.
Sarah’s current research program concentrates on alcohol policy and regulation, treatment systems, and harm reduction.
