Currently, I am working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with Professor Mark Willcox, investigating the possible contribution of ocular microbes to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease.

I completed my MS in Medical Laboratory Sciences (Clinical Microbiology) from the Institute of Medicine (IOM), Nepal, in 2009. For the next ten years, I served as a lecturer at the same institute (IOM), during which time I also worked as a foreign guest researcher in the Stem Cell Biology Laboratory at Ehime University, Japan.

In 2019, I was awarded the prestigious UNSW Scientia PhD scholarship and began my interdisciplinary doctoral journey under the supervision of Professor Mark Willcox, Dr. Alex Hui, Dr. Edgar Hoe Hon Wong, and Dr. Rajesh Kuppusamy. My PhD research focused on exploring the antimicrobial spectrum and mechanistic insights of peptidomimetics against multidrug-resistant ESKAPEE pathogens and medically important yeasts, including Candidozyma auris
