Dr Shuai He is a Research Fellow in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UNSW Sydney. His research focuses on multifunctional composite materials, lightweight structures, mechanical vibration, and structural health monitoring. Prior to joining UNSW, he served as an Associate Professor at Qingdao University of Technology and held senior engineering roles at Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Company.

Dr. He has secured over $1.5 million in research funding from industry and government sources, contributing to projects in aerospace structures, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing. His innovations have led to practical applications, including novel drone technologies and composite structures for wide-body aircraft.

He holds multiple patents and has published extensively in journals such as Nano Energy, Applied Acoustics, and Composites Science and Technology.
