I am a Lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at UNSW Sydney. Prior to joining UNSW, I served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Learning Analytics at Monash University (CoLAM). My research lies at the intersection of Computer Science Education, Learning Analytics and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), with a particular focus on designing methods to better understand and support Self-Regulated Learning (SRL). My recent work involves (1) investigating computational approaches to analyse students' learning behaviours and self-regulation strategies, and (2) leveraging HCI and software engineering techniques to design, build and evaluate interactive learning systems that optimise learner experience and learning efficacy.
My academic journey spans a decade, and my professional interests are deeply rooted in the domains of data analytics, computational modeling, and the design and deployment of novel tools to support teaching and learning. I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from The University of the South Pacific, Fiji Islands.
