Biography

Setyo is a Postdoctoral Research Associate and a final-year PhD student (Systems Engineering) at the School of Systems and Computing of the University of New South Wales. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (2016) and a Master of Science (2019) degrees from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, as well as an MBA (2019) degree from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan.

Setyo is a Postdoctoral Research Associate and a final-year PhD student (Systems Engineering) at the School of Systems and Computing of the University of New South Wales. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (2016) and a Master of Science (2019) degrees from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, as well as an MBA (2019) degree from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan.

His research focuses on the intersection of operations research, transportation science, and computational intelligence methods, particularly evolutionary algorithms. Some of his works have been published in highly reputable publishing avenues in these areas, such as IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, Computers & Operations Research, and Computers & Industrial Engineering. Throughout his career, he has developed broad knowledge in logistics and healthcare management.

He is also the Co-Initiator and a Board Member of OPSID, a community of young Indonesian researchers in operations research and operations management. From this initiative, he is always open to mentoring young students (Bachelor/Master levels) to pursue higher education.
