I am a proud Indigenous man from Far North Queensland and currently serve as the First Peoples Lead (Senior Lecturer) for Health Sciences, situated within the Blakademy. My academic journey began at the University of Sydney in 2023, where I contributed to the design and delivery of the Indigenous Health Promotion degree, while also teaching Indigenous health content broadly across the Faculty of Medicine and Health.

Before entering academia, I worked in the sporting industry in various support roles over six years. During this time, I attained Level 2 ASCA Strength & Conditioning and Level 2 Sports Trainer accreditations. I also gained experience in the private health sector, working across multiple musculoskeletal-focused physiotherapy settings. This professional background, combined with my lived experience growing up in the FNQ, has shaped my research interests in First Peoples health. I am particularly passionate about research topics related to physical activity, pain experiences, and service improvements that promote positive health experiences and outcomes for First Peoples.
