
Biography
Dr. Silvia Zheng (MBBS, BSc (Med), PhD, FRACP, FRCPA) is a clinical haematologist at St. George Hospital, and conjoint senior lecturer at UNSW, Australia. She completed her PhD at University of New South Wales, on “Antibody-mediated thrombocytopenias: mechanisms and potential treatments”, under the supervision of Professor Beng Chong in 2023. Dr. Silvia Zheng (MBBS, BSc (Med), PhD, FRACP, FRCPA) is a clinical haematologist at St. George Hospital, and conjoint senior lecturer at UNSW, Australia. She completed her PhD at University of New South Wales, on “Antibody-mediated thrombocytopenias: mechanisms and potential treatments”, under the supervision of Professor Beng Chong in 2023. Her research focuses on immune thrombocytopenia as well as diseases and treatments in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis. She currently serves as the Early Career co-chair for the Scientific and Standardization Subcommittee on Platelet Immunology, ISTH.
