Dr Negin Hesam-Shariati is a research fellow at the School of Psychology, UNSW and an affiliated scientist in the Centre for Pain IMPACT at Neuroscience Research Australia. She is leading the Neurotherapy for Chronic Pain program at the NeuroRecovery Research Hub, focusing on developing and investigating neurofeedback systems for people with chronic pain. This novel approach helps individuals learn how to gain control over their brain activity and ultimately reduce their pain.
