
Biography
Dr Michael Krasovitsky is a medical oncologist at St Vincent's Hospital Darlinghurst specialising in geriatric oncology, thoracic cancers, liver cancers, breast cancers and advanced thyroid cancers.

Dr Michael Krasovitsky is a medical oncologist at St Vincent's Hospital Darlinghurst specialising in geriatric oncology, thoracic cancers, liver cancers, breast cancers and advanced thyroid cancers.
He holds an MBBS with honours from the Australian National University, and has also completed higher training in biostatistics and epidemiology as part of a Masters of International Public Health (Distinction) through UNSW. His other qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Languages) and a Diploma of Child Health, where he specialised in cancer management in adolescents and young adults.
Dr Krasovitsky is the chair of the Geriatric Oncology multi-disciplinary service at St Vincent's. He chair of the Geriatric Oncology Emerging Experts and Researchers group (GOEER), as well as a member of the COSA Geriatric Oncology executive.
Dr Krasovitsky is involved in a number of research and quality improvement projects locally and nationally, primarily focussing on the care of older people with cancer, as well as studies related to thoracic, breast and liver cancers.
Dr Krasovitsky is an academic senior lecturer at the St Vincent's Clinical Campus, and is responsible for the Oncology and Palliative Care rotation for phase II students.

Dr Krasovitsky has experience in submitting for MRFF and NH&MRC grants, and is currently listed as an investigator on a number of grants in the field of geriatric oncology.

My Research Activities
Dr Krasovitsky is primarily involved in research in the following fields:
1. Geriatric Oncology & optimal care pathways for older individuals with cancer.
2. Thoracic malignancies, including mesothelioma and advanced thymic cancers.
3. Hepatic malignancies.
4. Breast malignancies.
5. Quality of life measurement and intervention amongst patients with cancer.
