Biography

Dr Merran Findlay is a Senior Research Fellow – Living Better With and After Cancer with Maridulu Budyari Gumal (SPHERE) Cancer Clinical Academic Group, UNSW Sydney. Dr Merran Findlay is a Senior Research Fellow – Living Better With and After Cancer with Maridulu Budyari Gumal (SPHERE) Cancer Clinical Academic Group, UNSW Sydney. An Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian and clinician-researcher, she has specialised in nutrition care of people with cancer for more than 25 years. Her research focuses on the impact of nutritional status and nutrition intervention on clinical, cost and patient-centred outcomes, innovative models of care and data-driven approaches to support translation of evidence into practice. She also holds appointments at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney Local Health District, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and currently serves as Board Director for the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia and the Australia and New Zealand Head and Neck Cancer Society. The title of Clinical Associate Professor, Faculty of Medicine and Health, The University of Sydney was conferred in recognition of her significant contribution to the field of cancer nutrition.  She is a founding member of the Implementation Science networks at both UNSW and The University of Sydney.
