Md Mahmudul Hasan is a Postdoctoral Fellow (Engineering) and casual academic (Engineering) at Faculty of Engineering at The University of New South Wales (UNSW). Md Mahmudul Hasan is a Postdoctoral Fellow (Engineering) and casual academic (Engineering) at Faculty of Engineering at The University of New South Wales (UNSW). Hasan holds a PhD in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) from UNSW Sydney. Before that, he has completed his Masters by Research Degree (MPhil) in Biomedical Engineering & Applied Computer Science from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and Bachelor degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET).

Mahmudul is one of the Finalists in UNSW 3 Minutes Thesis (3-MT) 2022, who won the First Prize in UNSW School of CSE 3 Minutes Thesis (3-MT) Competition 2022 and secured the third Position at the UNSW Faculty of Engineering 3 Minutes Thesis (3-MT) Competition 2022. Mahmudul loves to apply his engineering knowledge to Medical applications, particularly relating to his PhD research project in Medical Imaging and Applied Machine Learning/Deep Learning.

Dr Hasan has been involved in various multidisciplinary research projects in Electrical & Biomedical Engineering, including Medical Biometrics, Sleep research/cognition, EEG based emotion detection, camera-based solar tracker and was awarded the "Australian Govt. RTP Scholarship", "University Dean's Award" and “Joy Bangla Youth Award-2015” as a recognition. Apart from his research activities, Hasan is a successful content writer. He loves skateboarding, coding, vlogging, cycling, hiking, and travelling.
