Dr Boming Zhang is an Associate Lecturer (Education-Focused) in Engineering, with specialisation in Engineering Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials, Composite Mechanics and Materials, and Pedagogical Innovation.
Boming possesses five years of experience delivering innovative and student-centred teaching across a broad range of engineering courses at UNSW, since his initial role as a demonstrator in 2019. He has demonstrated the capability of delivering interactive classes using various digital technologies and has proven achievements in enhancing students’ practical learning through innovations and collaboration with industry.

Boming has a great passion for educating next-generation engineers, and interlinking theories and research & industrial applications in university courses. His teaching benefited from his great engagement in the undergraduate and postgraduate student community, both as a student at UNSW for 8 years and as an academic currently. Based on his long-term plan as an educator, Boming has been dedicated to building a teaching philosophy that features the integration of university lectures with ongoing research & industrial activities and innovative digital interactions.
