Saber is an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT), University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra, Australia. Saber was awarded a PhD degree in Computer Science from UNSW Canberra in 2012.

Saber is an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT), University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra, Australia. Saber was awarded a PhD degree in Computer Science from UNSW Canberra in 2012.

Dr Elsayed’s primary research focus areas include computational intelligence and swarm guidance. His research contributions have led to several advantages in many areas, i.e., defence, logistics, engineering and business.  

Dr Elsayed is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation. He is a Senior IEEE member. From 2019 to 2020, he served as the Chair of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (ACT Chapter). Dr Elsayed contributed to the organisation of several international conferences. Currently, he is a member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Summer School subcommittee. Dr Elsayed won several competitions organised at top conferences in the field
